Moat Support Groups are a regular Monday provision in Gravesend, offering children and young people a welcoming place to come together, talk, and take part in positive group activities.
Led by supportive and experienced staff and volunteers, the sessions are designed to help participants feel safe, listened to, and valued. Each group provides a calm and consistent environment where young people can build trust, strengthen friendships, and enjoy time with others in a relaxed setting.
The project focuses on helping children and young people develop confidence, resilience, and social skills through engaging activities and meaningful conversations. We understand that every young person is different, so the sessions are shaped to encourage participation at a pace that feels comfortable for them.
By offering a consistent space every Monday, Moat Support Groups help create routine and stability for those who may benefit from a reliable weekly point of connection. This regular contact can play an important role in improving wellbeing and reducing feelings of isolation.
Through positive relationships and a supportive group environment, the project aims to empower young people to recognise their strengths, try new things, and build the skills they need to move forward confidently.
At The Young Lives Foundation, we are committed to creating opportunities that help children and young people thrive. Moat Support Groups are an important part of that work, providing practical support, encouragement, and a sense of belonging in the heart of the community.
